Reading Soundtrack of a Misfit was like sitting across from someone who just gets it. I’ve lived most of my life thinking I was lazy, inconsistent, and a little broken. Rachel Leigh Wills reminded me that I’m not. Her story of being diagnosed young, misunderstood, and eventually embracing her misfit identity gave me hope. I was especially touched by her honesty about sobriety and how hard it was to learn how to feel without numbing. I cried during parts of this book because I saw my own story in hers. But I also laughed, and that’s what I needed. It’s not just about ADHD. It’s about being human.
