What If Everyday Life Could Deepen Your Faith? To Live Is Christ Is Coming Soon

B Temp ()

Faith is often strengthened in places we least expect.

It may happen while watching snow fall, cleaning a room, following GPS directions, sitting through a difficult season, raising a child or simply wondering whether we are headed in the right direction. Ordinary moments can become invitations to see God, Scripture and our own spiritual lives with greater clarity.

That idea lies at the heart of Judy Nelson’s upcoming book, To Live Is Christ: Inspired Reflections of Faith. Volume 1.

Rather than separating faith from everyday experience, Nelson brings the two together. Throughout this collection of reflections, she uses familiar situations and memorable “word pictures” to encourage readers to think more deeply about what it means to know Christ, trust Him, grow in His likeness and live according to His Word.

A snowflake becomes a reminder that each person is individually known and valued by God. A small tugboat guiding a massive vessel becomes a picture of strength that does not depend on appearances. A cluttered house prompts questions about what we allow to occupy our hearts and whether we have truly yielded every part of our lives to the Holy Spirit.

Even something as commonplace as GPS becomes an opportunity for spiritual reflection. Just as navigation helps us recognize where we are, where we are going and when we have wandered off course, Nelson considers the importance of allowing God to direct our steps and bring us back when distractions lead us away.

These are reflections grounded not only in Scripture but also in a life shaped by decades of faith.

A retired registered nurse, farm wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Judy Nelson has walked with the Lord for more than fifty years. The beginnings of this collection grew from a quieter season in her life. What initially felt like solitude gradually became an opportunity to spend more time with God, recognize the distractions that had filled everyday life and begin journaling the spiritual pictures and insights that came to her.

The result is a book that continually asks readers to move beyond simply identifying as Christians and consider what living for Christ looks like in practice.

What shapes our choices?

Where do we look for truth?

How do we respond when life becomes uncertain?

Are we merely looking for what God can do for us or are we learning His ways?

What kind of faith are we passing to the next generation?

And when our lives are complete, what kind of legacy will remain?

Nelson explores these questions through reflections on peace, fear, obedience, spiritual maturity, parenting, distractions, purpose, hope, legacy, revival and much more.

At its core, To Live Is Christ is an invitation to recognize that spiritual growth does not happen only during extraordinary moments. Sometimes the most meaningful lessons begin with something remarkably ordinary.

A house.

A snowflake.

A road sign.

A train journey.

A quiet afternoon.

Everyday life is filled with opportunities to look again and perhaps to see with new eyes.

For readers who desire a deeper, more intentional walk with Christ and practical encouragement for bringing Scripture into daily living, Judy Nelson’s To Live Is Christ: Inspired Reflections of Faith. Volume 1 will soon offer a new collection to read, ponder and return to.
